Voices Unhidden – Code of Conduct
Our Commitment
Voices Unhidden is a survivor-led advocacy organization dedicated to safety, dignity, accountability, and respectful dialogue. Our work centers on the lived experiences of individuals impacted by online harassment, stalking, and abuse. We are committed to maintaining spaces that are safe, supportive, and constructive.
This Code of Conduct exists to set clear expectations for behavior across all Voices Unhidden platforms and activities.
Who This Applies To
This Code of Conduct applies to all individuals who engage with Voices Unhidden, including but not limited to:
- Website visitors
- Volunteers and applicants
- Contributors and collaborators
- Event participants
- Community members interacting through online platforms, social media, or affiliated spaces
Participation in any Voices Unhidden space constitutes agreement to this Code of Conduct.
Expected Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Communicate respectfully and in good faith
- Honor survivor boundaries and lived experiences
- Engage constructively, even when disagreements arise
- Use our platforms for lawful, mission-aligned purposes
- Follow applicable local, state, and federal laws
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are not permitted in any Voices Unhidden space:
- Harassment, intimidation, threats, or abusive language
- Doxxing or sharing private, identifying, or sensitive information
- Defamation, false statements, or malicious accusations
- Coordinated disruption, trolling, or bad-faith engagement
- Attempts to bypass moderation, blocks, or enforcement actions
- Misuse of platforms to target individuals, organizations, or survivors
- Any conduct that compromises the safety, integrity, or mission of Voices Unhidden
Enforcement and Discretion
Voices Unhidden reserves the right to interpret and enforce this Code of Conduct at its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, removing content, restricting access, revoking volunteer status, or denying participation — with or without prior notice — when necessary to protect the safety, integrity, or well-being of our community.
Violations may also be reported to appropriate authorities when required by law.
Reporting Concerns
Concerns or potential violations of this Code of Conduct may be reported by email through our contact page.
Reports will be reviewed with care, confidentiality, and a survivor-centered approach. Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith will not be tolerated
Our Values
Voices Unhidden believes accountability and compassion can coexist. This Code of Conduct is not intended to silence voices, but to ensure that advocacy, dialogue, and participation occur in ways that are safe, ethical, and aligned with our mission.
